What If Everybody Did That? by Ellen Javernick
Review the book & why we need to think about how our actions may affect the world. Link the concept of thinking ahead to Habit 2- I look for ways to be a good citizen. Draw a picture of something you want to do but looking ahead you know it would not be good if everyone did that.

Read Rainbow Fish & discuss making everyone feel good because everyone has something special about them. Pass the fish- the person with the fish must give a compliment to someone in their class. Put a sticker on each kid that has received a compliment & only allow the next student to give a compliment to someone without a stickers so everyone receives.

Puzzle pieces (out of different color construction paper)
Discuss teamwork and cooperation. Split the class into teams by giving them different pieces of the puzzle pieces. Students are on teams based off the color puzzle piece they have. Discuss which teams had good teamwork and what things you saw that would help other teams increase their teamwork.
